What's Up... and Coming Up

Summer 2025 kept us busy! We had several work parties throughout the preserves, a community beach clean up, member salmon tours and a special member appreciation celebration! Come out and join our community! We welcome, encourage and truly need your participation!



Coming Up— Fall Work Parties!


Friday October 17, 2025 9:00am-4:00pm — Come for 2 hours, or the whole day!

Cowling Creek Forest Preserve - Essex entrance - park at 19988 Essex St, Suquamish. Bring work gloves, work shoes, clippers, rain gear (if necessary). Work details: complete trail maintenance (including graveling), invasive vegetation removal, and clearing vegetation from around planted trees.


Friday November 14, 2025 9:00am-4:00pm — Come for 2 hours, or the whole day!

Miller Bay Forest Preserve - Park at 22986 Miller Bay Road NE, Poulsbo. Bring work gloves, boots (it will be muddy in places), clippers, rain gear (if necessary). Work details: invasive vegetation removal (mostly ivy and blackberries), and clearing vegetation from around planted trees.


Friday December 12, 2025 9:00am-4:00pm — Come for 2 hours, or the whole day!

Miller Bay Forest Preserve (East) - Park at 22995 Indianola Road NE, Poulsbo. Bring work gloves, boots (muddy), clippers, rain gear. Work details: removing vegetation from around planted shrubs and trees, removing the barbed wire fence from along the south property boundary, and removing some debris along the south boundary.
